Readable "Assault Weapons" Provisions of The New CT Statute

What's an "assault weapon?" I always thought that it was a weapon that someone commited an assault with. It could be a golf club or a baseball bat. Regardless of the fact that we shooters know what an assault rifle (not "assault weapon") is, we need to be aware of the new legislative characterization in order to stay out of trouble.

I've heard from many people that the new statute is, perhaps on purpose, difficult to read.

I hope that this "clean" version of the portion defining what's now an "assault weaon" is useful.

Please feel free to pass this on to your friends.
